The Meadows Retreat & Creative Space is a tranquil, restorative sanctuary for anyone who needs to focus on deep work, including (but not limited to) artists, writers, painters, makers, facilitators and entrepreneurs.

Small groups are invited to stay in the four-bedroom, 100 year old farmhouse (four people if single occupancy, seven if double occupancy) while using the various spaces around the property for programming and creating. Facilitators and workshop leaders can also book the property for day events.
Blended groups where some stay overnight and some come for just the day are welcome. Maximum capacity for the day is 8-10 people (depending on the time of year)

The spacious dining room has a large table with six chairs, and plenty of room for a standing facilitator. Three comfy armchairs and a three-seater couch provide an abundance of cozy spaces for reading or working on a computer (lap desks available). Seasonally, the screened-in porch is the perfect place to chat, paint, draw, read, write, or just sit with a cup of tea and listen to the birds.

Off the kitchen is another table area. This is the perfect location for a buffet table or coffee and tea station, or as a separate work space.

Surrounding the house is an open backyard with views of the countryside and plenty of room for event tents, sleeping tents, chairs and tables (all not included, at this time). Seasonally, the main floor of the carriage house is available for workshop space. This rustic area is 13’x16’ and can be set up classroom style with tables and chairs, or left empty to allow for yoga mats or personal workspaces.

A three-minute walk down the road allows guests access to the Trans Canada Trail for hiking, biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. A perfect way to start the day, immersed in nature! Check out the gallery for images of the whole house and all the usable spaces.
